Unless you live in an area where the water is hard, tap water is perfectly fine.
You might want to check with your local water supplier if that concerns you.

I water everything with tap water and they all grow and flower well.

I'm going to be repotting it Wednesday, so I'll let you all know how it goes. I'm going to buy some new orchid mix and a pot with better ventilation. Looks like I'll need to cut off some dead roots. Hopefully I can save it before it's too late!

Exclamation Repotting

I repotted my orchid so i was wondering if it looks right. I cut off all of the dead/dying roots and changed the pot and mix. There are five small ventilation holes on the sides and many on the bottom. Thanks for your help!

Looks good to me. All the leaves are perky and some roots I can see in between bark chips look healthy too.
Is the mix straight bark??
You want to make sure the plant does not dry out, which can happen easily for straight bark mix.

Best luck!
