big leaf phal yellowing leaves and looses buds, help
hi
recently i got a big leaf phal as a birthday present (last week) at first i noticed it had 2 down leaves yellow with some black small spots and i thought its normal for them to get yellow and fall, but 2 days ago i saw the leaves are yellowing with black spots (5 out of 8 )
i have several orchids and i put the environment in a good temp / humidity / light and have several other orchids but never saw such thing
it also looses buds, at first all of the fresh and stiff! now i see some of them are getting red and falling down afterward, i upload some pics of the plant
can anyone help me as i care for this plant and the person who gave it to me

It sounds like it could be fungal rot

If it is fungal rot you need to cut the affected areas off with a sterilized cutting tool then put some fungicide on it

sorry I was on my phone so it was hard to type. but yes the leaves and the roots need to be cut off but mostly the leaves the roots dont look to bad other then some of the top ones so if you want to cut off the top ones you can, if it was me I would cut the bad roots off.
Some recommended fungicides are Natriphene, Physan20, Physan27, but I would put a little bit of cinnamon on the cut spots instead of a fungicide
Also I would wait for someone else to tell you that it it fungal rot before you cut the leaves off. Just for a second opinion

Yes I would repot it but again I would get a second opinion.
Remember only cut the bad roots off and put just a little bit of cinnamon on the end of the cut root and on the cut leaves.
