Smile ID of this NOID? Or what type of phal is this

Hi all. I got this phal from the farmers market today because of its beautiful blooms and many secondary spikes. I want to know its species if possible.

It is currently potted in green moss.

It is not phag.

Very nice!
It's most likely a NoID Phal hybrid.

Definitely a hybrid, not a species. Very pretty.

Thanks you all. I really hope all or most of the buds will open. I don't want a bud blast.

I had one like that and learnt the hard way by moving it around my house (I was a super novice then) and mine gone into bad bud blast and lost 1/3 of buds!!

So nowaday I just pick nice spot for my new orchid and put it there and resist all the temptation to move it around home and none of them ever had any more bud blast!

I am new to orchids and learning, I know what hybrids and species are but how do you tell the difference between them?

It doesn't fit with any of the known species of phals. If you get a species phal it is almost invariably labeled as such. Most of the phals for sale anywhere other than specialty nurseries are hybrids. Phals are really easy to hybridize and it's been done for decades- they have pedigrees like show dogs do. Once a desirable hybrid is developed, it can be cloned to make many many more individual plants.
I'm going to take a wild guess that this plant may be a 4N or tetraploid. They do something with colchicine to arrest mitosis (?meiosis) and double the number of chromosomes.
Either way, it is gorgeous and should be enjoyed for what it is.
