How I now grow my haraella rectrocalla

After nearly killing this, I decided to try something new. The little haraella had shriveled leaves and the roots were pretty much extinct...there was one left with a dying tip. I found these cubes at a second hand store. It is mounted on lava rock which constantly soaks up water. I put a dab of moss on the rock, too, just for fun. My pictures aren't too great (the reason I rarely post pictures) but, hopefully, for anyone else that has trouble growing this, they will be clear enough to help. This is such a nice orchid, I feel that everyone should have a chance to grow it.

The pictures are that bad, huh?
It is now well anchored to the rock with many new, healthy roots and has healthy leaves. The second bud is about to bloom. Not bad for nearly losing it.

Most seem to grow this with no trouble at all. It is said to be an easy grower! But, I wasn't having any luck with it and I wanted very much to have this awesome orchid. This is simply an alternative way if you have trouble growing it the way everyone else succeeds in growing it. You will likely have no trouble.

I don't do anything special for mine. Grown potted on a north facing windowsill .
