I keep saying the same thing, this is the last orchid I'm buying, so now I'm up to 65 and looking for more room to put them, Being hooked orchids is not a bad thing, your giving them a home and it makes you happy

Thanks for all the replies! They are addicting! Especially since I have been able to look at everyone's gorgeous plants! I'm hoping my 2011 Dendro will flower for me this year!
Also, will this one need to be transplanted??

Wow! Nice looking plant! If it were mine I would probably repot it so that the new growth has someplace to grow into. But I am just a beginner...so I will be interested to see what the more experienced member say.
As I ...um...acquire more orchids, I have to tell you that I so enjoy looking at each one as I water and see the new growth coming, or perhaps a spike. I never knew that something could be so satisfying. Enjoy the hobby and keep those pics coming!!!

Every time I say I'm going to stop, I come home with another orchid. I've come to accept the addiction. The local orchid show is coming up soon here so I know there will be more orchids coming home with me.

When you go to the local show, please stop by the species or donation/fund raising booth and look for bargains there. Local growers and vendors have donated plants to the local club to sell to help raise money for the club. That is where I get most of my orchids. There are some very good bargains to be had. Can get as low as $2. Especially during the last day at the end of the show when no one wants to take anything home with them.
