deflasking issue - did i do it wrong?

Sterilising the media will make a big difference if you are using bark or sphagnum. I found coir peat and perlite to be pretty 'clean' to start with so i can get away without sterilising but the sphag definately grows bit of an ecosystem if it is in a very humid environment and I had all kinds of trouble with bark growing things even after I thought I had sterilised it enough.
