Fear of my new dendrobium
Default Fear of my new dendrobium

Hi, all - I purchased a dendrobium this past Saturday, and after looking online for help in how to take care of it, I am pretty confused. Seems like no two sites have the same tips on caring for them.

I'm sure it is a dendrobium phalaenopsis, and I'm concerned about the amount of light, and water, that it needs. My condo only has two exposures - east and west - but the east window has limited light due to palms in the front. The west exposure is the lanai, with sliding glass doors into the living room.

The plant has lots of buds on it, but one fell off this morning. Not sure what will happen with the others at this point. The blooms seem to be doing well.

How can I make sure I'm doing the best for this lovely plant?

An east or west facing window is good. Water when potting media is approaching dry, or has just become dry.
