Stanhopea wardii and sophrontis cernua? Male
Default Stanhopea wardii and sophrontis cernua?

How hard is it to grow stanhopea wardii/sophrontis cernua? I would like to use them for a project (mount type thing) I'm doing, and was wondering if they could handle average household conditions. I do have very strong daylight bulbs in the room it will be in and there is also quite a bit of natural sunlight as well. I can mist it and water them or whatever as needed, but I was kind of worried about the humidity. While I'm at it, do any of you know of a good epiphytic moss that would grow in these conditions as well to kind of fill in blank spaces and allow for more moisture retention.

As far as something to put around them I use tillandsia 'old mans beard' air plant or moss on all my mounts. The tillandsia is good because it gets good air flow but helps keep the humidity up.
