However if you haven't looked, you should check out the list of vendors and consider a pre-order from some as they can't bring everything to the shows. Ching Hua has lots of Cattleyas for good prices. There are others too. the show is called Orchid Fair and if you can't find info I will add a link to who the vendors will be. Edmonton also has a wonderful orchid society and you should look into joining while at the show or before. There are many expert growers in it.

I know most of them and will list them here for you. The deadline for Paphs. from Ten shin is Jan. 15th because of his paperwork but most others are near the end of Jan for pre-orders:

Maybe you're thinking of Hawaiian Botanicals. They're in Richmond, BC and usually have a great selection. Not all are in the 15-20$ price range of course but some are. They always sell healthy plants and their customer service and shipping is always top notch.

Something to remember is, don't always just order the cheapest ones, make sure you can provide it the correct conditions.

Another dissapointing day and facing reality. A friend alerted me that Big Leaf sells blue Phals that I'm in love with... So I followed up on a tip and got a reply from Peter advising that shipping just one plant to Canada is not economical because of all the paper work and regulations.

That's too bad, really, as I was searching for an excuse -perhaps for my BD? - to master up some courage to order a Phal that I really wanted, even though it is rather pricey for me.

Yes Lilia im stalking you all over the place hehe, Also Home Depot has phals for 12.99 big plants 5 inch pots. Its a special sale. They just come in up here in the last week or so maybe they havent had the chance to abuse them yet =)
