Moving the orchid daily will be fine. What is your actual temps around the window? Can you back it up just a little to increase (slightly) the temps? I'm not saying light isn't important, so dont get me wrong. I'm just saying, a cold orchid will die quicker than a light insufficient orchid (which will just be setback or grow slower). Any light you can provide will help, but little desk lamps wont provide much in terms of actual needs.
I grow in a cold basement with a heater inside an enclosed space to trap heat/humidity. I ONLY grow phals. My temps dont go much below 68 F so as not to stall out any plants/spikes. I could go lower, but I risk stalling the plants growing season/roots/ and any initiated spikes. But my plants are mainly novelties, and species plants, both of which are much more picky than stereotypical standard Phals.
As such, try and keep the temps above 60, 65 if possible, and give them any light you can. They are tropical plants, but most are pretty hardy and will surprise you how cold and little light they can survive in.
