I would try to get some roots to grow before potting it at all, you could try sphag-n-bag or water culture...

The pot looks a good fit for when it gets some roots. I would try soaking the base in some seaweed water. This would help stimulate some root growth. Then maybe pot it in loose moss and try and tie it or stake it in place so it doesn't move. Then just mist the surface area where roots would grow. You could fill the pot half full of styro peanuts or even heavier glass beads or rocks just until some roots grow and fill the pot's area better. It might need to go under a dome so that the moisture level is higher and the leaves don't all dry out. Or I would lightly mist the leaves every morning until there are some roots but Do Not get water in the crown.
