Question Phals roots

I got a new phal about a week ago and the plant was a little under watered so some of the roots tips are wrinkle and dry. Should I cut the tips of the roots off.

If you could please post a pic, that'd make a big difference in how much people can help you in this case.

You don't need to cut any of the roots off, even if they're dry and look dead. Sometimes those roots will surprise you and grow new side roots.

Yeah. Like Tucker said. Don't cut anything off that is just dry. What you see as dried up is just the outer covering called velamen. It is a spongy material that sucks up water like a sponge. The root is a thin wirey cord and stays alive and viable for a long time. It will produce new roots readily if you water it.

Personally, I'd cut it within 1/4th of an inch to what appears to be healthy. But I'd default to others on this given the previous suggestions.
