Default Diatomaceous Earth
Has anyone had any luck w/ Diatomaceous Earth killing bugs in your orchids? Just curious as it is good for animals and killing bugs...

To my knowledge diatomite doesn't kill insects. I have an Oeceoclades calcarata growing in diatomite, and it did nothing to stop ants from colonizing in the pot. Great way to grow this species though.

I think Diatomaceous Earth discourages slugs and other soft insects from crossing it, but, in my experience, does not kill them unless they site in it,w hich they're too smart to do !
