Camille, I have two phals in the same condition as what you pictured. I tried the sphag n bag, but I also smelled that rank mold smell, so I took them out of the bag, and just set them atop some sphag in a pot which I mist several times per day. It's only been a few days, but I don't know if they will survive. I bought some KLN water and it should be here in a few days... hopefully I'll have good luck with them as you have. Unfortunately I'm a slightly impatient person and I keep taking them out of the sphag every few days to see if any new roots are emerging, even though I know the root process takes weeks, lol.
