My bigibbum v compactum does get reddish foliage in higher light, and new growth can be reddish. The outer sheathy material looking candy-striped. But, the canes don't look the same as your's.
Now that I think about it, could it possibly be something like bullenianum or goldschmidtianum? I just noticed mine look very similar to that. Not natives though...
Still not that same red though is it... I hope it flowers for me next season, if I have to wait any longer than that Ill go nuts!
Oh would you like any suave seed? Not sure if they are ready now but I can bring some either this month or next if you want. I've got heaps of pods so I'll be doing some myself and storing some seed for later.
I'll buy a flask off you Got way to much seed to put in flask at the moment. The Den. nindii that I did at the meeting is just starting to make protocorms. Be interesting to see how that goes.
No worries. I did about 18 flasks and had issues with two of them so not too bad for a first try. Seed looked good under the microscope so fingers crossed they grow well for me now!
Out of my last batch of 16 flasks I have 11 with germination (so far) and only 1 contaminated. I've just moved them to my light shelf so hopefully that will kick them into gear.
