If you have not already purchased a fixture a T5 flourescent fixture would be you best bet with the bulbs Paul mentioned.

The temp I live at? LOL... Not sure what the question is, sorry.

The temp refers to the color spectrum generated by the light, not actual temperature. Plants need certain color spectrums of light to function properly and 6500k is about right.

And 6500K is what is called daylight by many producers .
And I second the T5 fixture suggestion!

To all that answered, many thanks. I was not aware of certain light being measured by degrees. I will buy several T-5 fixtures with daylight bulbs. I do have some shop lights with the thinner T-5 bulbs. The only space in the house I have will fit only a 24" stand. Does anyone know somewhere to buy 24" fixtures for a low price. It is easy to find 48" not 24"

Thanks,
Dick
