new oncidium; should I repot or wait?

yesterday i purchased an oncidium sharry baby. it seems to be in good health. it had just arrived at the nursery that day, so there was no chance that the staff over watered it yet. the medium feels damp but not soggy. it is packed in what looks like charcoal chunks with a bit of moss on top.

the reason i'm not sure if i should re pot right away is because it is in full bloom and has a second spike which is loaded with buds that haven't even opened yet.

would it be safe for me to wait until the blooms have faded to re pot it? how long should i wait until re potting?

i also have a question about lighting. i currently have it sitting in front my patio window which faces south. it is about 4 feet from the window. is this too much sun?
