It's ok!! *offers shoulder to cry on* We have all done it! I have definitely killed my share!  ...maybe someday soon, you will come across another one, and it will grow into a monster, with so many flowers you won't know what to do!   I'll keep my fingers crossed for that! |

Haven't we all... It seems no matter what we do for some of them, they just slowly decline until one day they are no more. The saddest part is when you are the guilty party to their demise, instead of your neighbors. All my plants that I've killed are unfortunately completely my fault, since I would never let any of my neighbors inside to care for them (when it comes to my chids, I trust me...somewhat... and my best friend, no one else).  |

I took 2 boxes of the smaller ones, to water, on a road trip to visit my father-in-law. I'm hoping he didn't see them in the room. I found out the vet tech, who took care of my cats and their meds, use to work in a nursery. We're flying this time and I think she'll be good with orchids. Fingers crossed.

Yes, I'm the same. They are my neighbours but also friends. With all my orchids they did excelent except for 2 Embreea and 1 Laelia lobata coerulea. 4 weeks were too long to let them stay dry so...

I did the smae: a pack with 14 orchids sent to my parent house for summer and re-sent here when I came back  All corks and some very hard to grow (Thunia, Dendrobium bellatulum and falconeri for examples)

Yep, I do the same, when I go on summer vacation, I take all of mine! Lol, I stuff them in liquor boxes (can pick them up for free behind the liquor store).. The kind with the dividers in them, they work perfectly (some boxes have bigger compartments than others, & some need modification).. I drive my truck all the way there & back, so I can bring as much as will fit.. Altho I'm getting to the point where it's a pain... I can't possibly blame all you enablers on here for that!
