Air movement from fans can be good, but you need to be careful they don't end up in a cold draft.

Moss can be good, but it depends on your circumstances and on the type of orchids. My personal preference for Phals is bark, although I use moss for some other types of orchids (Masdevallia and Restrepia). People in drier climates like moss for phals and it suites some peoples growing environment.

If you are more comfortable with bark it might be worth getting some and switching it
