Question Silly question about hummingbird poop, lol...

I just wanted to run a question by the forum and get some insight from other members. I have my 'chids outside on my back porch on their own little table. But I also have a couple of hummingbird feeders hanging from the roof that covers the porch. Well, all year long, the hummingbirds have been regularly feeding from them off and on, but this time of the year more and more of them show up and their feeding has significantly increased to the point where I have to refill each feeder twice a day.
During my watering today I noticed that the my 'chids have been in the crossfire of my hummingbirds' target practice, lol, if ya know what I mean. Well, their droppings seem to be clear and dry pretty quickly, but you can still see the residue left over. It doesn't seem to have any adverse effects on my 'chids leaves, but I just wanted to run it by the forum and get some input.

In the wild I think this would be one of the major sources of fertilizer, insects and decomposing leaves being the other major sources. So as long as the plants are not developing burns on the leaves from the droppings I think you have your fertilizing covered for the rest of the summer.

What a combination. I agree with OhioBob as long the foliage is not damaged, you have the perfect natural compost supply.

I figured as much, seeing as how this is kinda like what happens in the wild. It's just that this time of the year the hummingbirds swarm both my front and back yards. I've been keeping an eye on it and it doesn't seem to affect my 'chids in any adverse way. A thunderstorm came thru the other day and washed all of it off of the leaves and into the pots, but my hummingbirds are still playing target practice with them, lol. I'm having to refill their feeders constantly, but I don't mind. They're so use to me now, that they don't even wait for me to hang the feeders back up for them. They just start swarming around them while I'm still holding them, HeHe.
