Talking my new masdevallia amabilis

This is my first genus I have besides the common phal. And the first orchid I have that I know the spicies. I is the fav in my collection of 3 orchids. I would post pictures but I can not do it from a tablet. I don't hav e access to a computer their. So I can't post pictures sorry!

If you take very good care of the Mas, it will produce numerous flowers all year long. Good choice.

A great orchid.

Just bear in mind that it's a lot cooler loving than a Phal. I keep mine in my greenhouse with temps ranging from 55F - 85F in the summer but getting down to 40F - 50F in the winter with highs. Those summer temps are really rather warm for it and I solve that using porous clay pots to get good evaporation (they need to not dry out).

Mine grow well, but flower best in the winter temps, however I do get flowers at other times of year.
