Default Can an orchid split and become two in one pot?

Hi! I was looking at one of my orchids this morning (some sort of Phal I got in the spring....) It's done bloooming, and it's been growing lots of new leaves...I recently repotted it as it was rotting away in moss....because it was so wet, I tried to let it dry out a little and I think it got a little too dry...see the leaves.....anyways, a couple of leaves shrivelled up and yellowed and fell off, but I'm hoping it's ok....well, what I noticed when the last leaf fell off was that it appears as if there are two orchids now, instead of just the one.....is this true?

Yes. You have two plants in the pot. As they are both mature plants, I suspect you bought two plants in a pot rather than your orchid splitting into two.

When you repot, you will see that you have two very separate root systems. The plants can be separated at any time.
