I have a related question about rhizomes, so I hope it's OK to put it here rather than starting a new thread.
I have a small Cattleya (Sierra Skies Leone) and I'm trying to understand what part of the plant is the rhizome. I'd thought that this was a synonym for the pseudobulb, but from what I've seen on-line it's what the pseudobulbs sprout from. Unfortunately, I've not yet found a clear description and/or photo to illustrate it. On my plant, the pseudobulbs extend from the center of the plant, but I can't make out what's there. Below are some photos. Can someone point it out? Thanks!

Note that there is a little wet moss still tangled in the inner root cluster here. I had taken the plant out to put in new potting mix.
