Today I was at a local orchid nursery, and i didnt really see anything i liked, on my way out i passed a dumpster overflowing with Orchids! Perfectly healthy, flowering Orchids!!! I got out of my car and grabbed as many as i could. Now that i have them home i am observing the damage. Most if not all of them have bent spikes. Im not sure what to do. Should i just clip them off and hope for new growth? Or should i try to nurse them back to health? And how would i go about nursing them back to health?
Anything helps.

Photos would help! But there's a differnce between Broken or Bent spikes? If they are just bent should be OK If broken the top end will probably dry up
Yeah, most stores appeal to the casual buyer who will enjoy the orchid blooms and then toss the plant once it is done (as if it were cut flowers). A lot of people don't have the patience to wait for the next bloom cycle, or simply think the plant blooms once and that's it. So, to the store, damaged orchids are a complete loss. But to the finder, it's a total gain. Congrats!
Did you ask the Orchid nursery staff why they were in the garbage? If it was a nursery for just orchids they might of had a good reason to throw them out like virus.
