A couple more things. Some Catts do bloom from dried sheaths but I still don't think your dried sheaths will bloom. The pbulb with the sheath would of bloomed already if it was going to.

As far as how long it takes for the new growth to mature, it depends on the plant.

With two mature pbulbs you have a good shot at this orchid blooming this fall or winter if you give it what it needs. If you potted this in moss (holds fingers up making the sign of the cross) and it is doing well, by all means keep it in the moss. Wynn Dee can guide you in that regard. I'm not a fan of moss but my conditions are different from yours. Will you get some grow lights for this winter season? Keep us informed and welcome to OB.

Thank you WynnDee! Always good to get a few opinions. I have been growing the Catt I posted in moss since this past Winter. I took it out of it's pot without disturbing much of anything and planted in a clay pot with moss as shown in the pics. One reason why I did it was because I could tell more easily when the plant needed water. It is not pack tightly and once in a while I do aerate it a bit. I must say the few orchids I have all seem to be doing quite well planted in moss. Also I did place charcoal, styrofoam and other larger material at the bottom as well.

I actually counted three sheaths. I was hoping at least one would come up but perhaps you're right and no flowers for me!

Thanks again!

Thank you James! That's what I was hoping is that one of the pbulbs would bloom come the Autumn. Currently, it is growing outside with morning filtered sunlight and then shaded the rest of the day under a patio umbrella. Winter time I will place them all in my bathroom where I have a very large window facing West. They'll also get more humidity here.

There is always hope for blooms, but in my experience with catts they bloom before they put out a new growth from that lead.

I see Wynn Dee. Well I'll keep hoping and maybe I'll get lucky. Otherwise I'll keep it healthy and growing and perhaps if not this one, next year then
