Beginner looking to expand!

I recently purchased my first phal and I am eager to expand my orchid collection! I was looking for advice on other orchid species that would be good for a beginner like me. What are some of your favorites?

I live in the Midwest. Kansas, to be specific. I would like to grow primarily indoors.

Lots of the Oncidium alliance are good windowsill growers (some can get big fast once they hit their stride, but can always be divided if you can't manage a big plant). Also "mini" Catts, Den-phals (Dendrobiums from the Phalaenthe section), Dens from the Latouria section. Paphs.

and to OB . Try your hand at Paphiopedilums (slipper orchids) They're pretty easy going

Paphs and Bulbos stay very small and do well indoors on wet trays. Most plants will adapt sometimes you have to add more light for blooming..

Paphiopedilum do well for me in semi/hydro. Didn't even skip a beat when I put them in. Very easy going plants.
