Default Another look at an experiment in bringing back the dead......

An update on my experiment in bringing back the dead (or nearly dead). A noid catt or laelia. In the condition it was in it was hard to tell. Taken three weeks apart. No roots yet. This little guy as all cats and in fact most orchid buds and new growth is living off what is stored in the old pbulbs. Here's an update to this thread. I feel it's important to share the continuing efforts with pictures to show the progression of the project. So here is a eek later. It's really taking off and all this without roots. This is how much energy is stored by bbulbs. This catt normally doesn't begin to grow roots until it is nearly greow to it's finished length.

Too cute Rosie! Thanks. I'll be very happy when I see root tips poking out from this ball of moss.
