In the last week one of the leaves on my phalaenopsis has turned yellow. At the same time a new flower has blommed. Does this mean the leaf is just old and dying or is somthing else wrong. Also a few roots have become dryed up is this to much sunlight or not enough water?
Mmmmm...It probably best if you post some photos of your phal. They do shed leaves naturally so it could be just fine. But it might also be some kind of problem.
Is it just one leaf? And do all the others look fine?
I recommend checking the roots first. After making sure there isn't a root problem, then you can start looking into the possibility of it being an old leaf dropping off of old age.
I wouldn't assume it's old age first, only to find out that it actually was caused by root rot.
