For the average windowsill grower, applying it every two weeks, and watering only in between, is probably adequate.
The "All in one Shot" is easier and probably most economical for the average/beginner/windowsill grower with a small and varied collection. Saves time and confusion on what/when and how. For those of us with 1,000 or more plants of one genera, I suspect it may not be as cost effective. But we in that bracket all tend to tweak our components periodically too.

That is correct, which is why I stock fertilizer in 2# jars and 25# bags, and KelpMax in quart bottles and 2.5-gallon jugs.

Most "casual growers" have a tendency to not feed regularly, or at all. The "Solo" product offers them an easy way around that, with no multiple-item mixing to do - a tablespoon per gallon every couple of weeks, with plain watering as needed in between - can be enough for most plants.
