For the average windowsill grower, applying it every two weeks, and watering only in between, is probably adequate.

The "All in one Shot" is easier and probably most economical for the average/beginner/windowsill grower with a small and varied collection. Saves time and confusion on what/when and how. For those of us with 1,000 or more plants of one genera, I suspect it may not be as cost effective. But we in that bracket all tend to tweak our components periodically too.
