I have two phalaenopsis/phalaenopsese (not sure which is correct) that have seed pods forming. Is it ok to fertilize during the formation of the pods? one plant has nothing in bloom, the other has three flowers in bloom. I only mention that because I read somewhere that you should not fertilize while in bloom.
Sorry, I can't answer your question about fertilizing. I'm sure someone can though. What are you planing on doing with the seed pods? Are you going to flask them? What kind of Phalaenopsis are they?
I'm never heard about not fertilizing while a plant is in bloom. You should keep up the same fertilizer schedule, year round. As for the pods, those take a lot of energy to grow, so the plants will appreciate some food!

Thank you all. Wynn: I will not try flasking yet although I would love to. Hopefully I can find someone in Jersey to trade them for a phal or two. The Parents are pictured as my profile pic. I believe one is a golden beauty and the other I'm not really sure.
