Look what popped out....
Most know by now I do rescues. I enjoy the challenge. Here are 2 bbulbs from a Barbara Billingsley x Bow Bells that I didn't want to throw away. I didn't know what to do with it to save it since it had no root material dead or alive. I'm guessing these are about 4-6 years old from their positions on the rizome. These two are the last (oldest) of a string of 8 pbulbs and only the youngest pbulb had a leaf. I was able to get three viable front bulbs and they are starting to put out buds. But these two had nothing and I love a challenge. So I just wrapped them in spagnum moss and every few days I dip them in the bucket. All that is in the bucket is RO water and 1-2 teaspoons of 20-20-20 per 5 gallons of water. Luke warm. I was surprised today to see this little bud sticking it's head out to say hello. I wrapped this up in Feb. Been hanging around in different places trying to keep it in a spot of sun mid day for warmth. So here's peeking at ya.... So what I'm trying to say is, on't throw anything away. It can be grown and produce something lovely with a littlepatience. Ifnothing else, ge it growing and then give it away to someone new to the game.
