My Epi. after 8 years finally bloomed on 6-1-2012. She was given to me by a freind and was told it was a red bloom, surprise, she is yellow instead. She has 3 spikes and a fourth one has just sprouted. I tried everything I could think of, except I had the lighting wrong. She was always in the shade. Last year after help from a freind, and lots of reading on culture sites I put her out in direct sunlight, and here she is.
I've had mine for about a year or so, and still no sign of any flowers... Got to admit I'm impatiently waiting. I suspect that I'm providing too much direct sunlight for them and the leaves from time to time get slightly purple, so now I've put it into a more shady area recently and hope that it will do the trick.

Enjoy it!
I have one that gets quite purpley/red in winter - but it's not burning, and it blooms well.
Congrats on the blooms! These take a lot of light. They grow like weeds over here but takes almost direct sun. Leaves get a purple tinge from the high light level.
