Dancing lady, shifting!

My Oncidium is shifting...a lot. Should I re pot this?

Sorry ? I don't know what you mean. It looks fine. Best not to repot while in bloom unless there is a major root rot or something going on

It was in the middle of the pot and its shifted dramatically to the side.

Its fine. You don't want to disturb roots unless you really need to. Repotting it would only stress the plant out.

How did it move from the center to the side of the pot??? Is it wobbly? then you might want to check the root or just put those stakes in a way that will support the plant.

By the way, I have this same plant. It's Wilsonara Aloha Sparks "Pele's Glow" Mine is growing very well, which is a nice surprise.

How can you tell her plant is the exact same plant you have by that one picture? You can't even see the flowers that clearly. If her plant doesn't have a tag you really can't say for sure her plant is the one you have.

some of the Onc alliance intergenerics are fairly common in stores, and many are distinct enough to be fairly confident with i.d.s - I usually stay away from the cultivar names tho, often one cultivar of the same grex looks quite like another - but sometimes they are distinct from one another

but yeah, from the photo posted, would be hard to be certain, and yes, some you can never be sure of - if I have a Noid but am pretty certain of ID, I still mark it as a noid with the presumed name in parenthesis

It in fact is a noid. Unfortunately all I've ever bought I.D'd was a wild wild west Miltonia. Other wise every Orchid in my home all of 27 I have no clue. Had I known how Vidal it is to know the genera I would've stopped and bought from my society, though, its hard because the prices are waaaaay higher.

As far as my plant...I.discovered that the ties on it were rubbery and stopping the spikes from growing taller which apparently they are and by like an inch too. The spikes pushing on the rubber ties made the plant move from the friction.

If the plant isn't very stable in its pot (explaining that it moved somewhat) you can keep it staked until more roots grow. Once the blooms go it will probably start a new growth, which will provide plenty of roots to anchor down the plant!

I'm struggling with that part. I can't get drainage and security to the right balance. Shouldn't they be somewhat airy? Then they can't be as secure though. Never really had this situation though. A moving plant.
