when to trim old flower spikes?
I have an intergeneric hybrid with a 2 foot flower spike that is almost bare (after bearing 12 huge blossoms!) Another spike is coming. After the last blossom falls on the first spike, when do I trim off the bare stalk?

As soon as the last blossom drops.
