Question Pot Sterilization

What is the best way to sterilize pots...I'm assuming this has to be done before repotting any orchids.
Info for both plastic and clay, unless it's the same procedure, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I spray them inside and out with a strong bleach/water mixture, scrub them, rinse them and then spray again and let them sit a few minutes before rinsing very well.

I use Physan 20 to treat all pots before repotting. No need to rinse before using.

Would vinegar work just as well?

I wash them with soap and water then soak them in a dilute bleach solution for about 10 minutes. This gets them sparkling. But make sure to rinse really well after the bleach.

I've got a question of my own... if you use a clear plastic pot placed in a clay pot (for weight/decorative purposes) do you sterilize the clay pot too?

Vinegar is an acid and will work for certain uses such as changing pH, etc. As a sterilization agent, notta! Physan 20 is as innocuous as I know. Pretty safe (despite the label warnings) and lasts a long time. Safe for orchids, and safe to handle. Around pets, I'm not sure.
