Question my poor dying Phal_ bud blast & yellow leaves

Hello,

I'm new to to this group, but I have been following the threads to try to save my phal. Last month, I got a Phal & it seemed kind of sick despise the gorgeous bloom. I watered it and tiny snails came out. I freaked and re-pot it into sphagnum. I read bark can have snails. When I re-pot it, i found out that it had no roots at all at the bottom, no wonder it was sick. Then I decided to put it's areal roots in the pot to make sure it got water...bad idea...My poor Phal looked good for about 3 days and not it dropped all the buds (which I was expecting) and all the leaves are turning yellow & dying (NOW, that I was not expecting). Now I'm going to re-pot it again and take the areial roots back out & I need advise in what to do next.. I don't want my Phal to die

Many people have had luck reviving phals that are rootless. I usually stake them into a pot with lava rock so they cannot move and keep humid (can be done by putting a clear bag over the plant and pot), and just leave alone. Every once in a while I add water to the bowl under the pot (no roots to rot, so this is done for the humidity). They eventually grow new roots and a leaf...it is a slow process. I tried reviving one by tying it to a cedar mount with a little moss and it was doing great until I forgot to dunk it in water for a few weeks. I think I will stick to the first method.
There are other ways to revive them. This is just how I do it. Good luck!

Thank you so much... I will take pictures of my Phal & I will give it a try and see how it goes. I'm hoping it will grow some roots.
