I used to have Benisuzume, Shutennu and a variegated leaf type (can't remember the name). As I was going to the US for 6 months in 2010 I mailed my favorites to someone to orchidsit, and the package got lost... I got the insurance money though, but never replaced the Neos.

I ordered Damro (korean name). Bean leaf neo with standard white blooms. Greeny Pottery
I would have liked a more expensive Neo like Bichwi (also korean name) Greeny Pottery, but I spent too much money on orchids this month as it is. So am getting the cheapest they have. Which is still very cute!

Wheh!!! Good to know. I hope you get some more new growths. The neo's I see at the shows always look really nice.

So, you have experience with them, good! Too bad they lost the package, it must have been devastating.
The Bichwi is gorgeous!
They are expensive plants, I got mine because it was the cheaper one too:
Tropical Gardens Orchids

These are the ones I really want:
Tropical Gardens Orchids
and
Tropical Gardens Orchids

I just need more confidence before I can spare that kind of money for a plant.

Love love those yellow blooms!!! Hope you get it one day.

My original Neos were from NWO, but with a $150 min order value needed for him to ship them from the UK show next month to me was too steep. Maybe next year I'll splurge on Neos.

Shojo is a nice one ! It is too bad there are not many good Neo sellers in Canada and the US sellers don't come to Canadian shows
TG has some nice plants but is a bit pricey for the size...
As for the green flowers Neo, the most affordable is Hisui (I got one from TG a few years ago) but it is a slow grower!

Neo season is well on now, lots of spikes are growing and blooms are nor far , \
Happy Neo growing!

orchideya, if Seed Engei is ever at a show near you, or if Pat or a local nursery/greenhouse can import them, you can get a Kibana for a LOT less. They do sell them at very reasonable rates and are based in CA. Don't be shocked at the pricing on their website; their show prices are much much less.

Haven't had much luck blooming the plants I got from NWO in November 2010, but the beauty of Neos is that they look so lovely with only foliage.
