Question Stunted Psychopsis bud

I have an adult Psychopsis "Hildos" that has bloomed twice, but the third bud has stayed small and doesn't appear to be growing. I think it might have gotten too much sun on it, although not a lot, but might have been more than it wanted. Question is, what do I do? Do I just wait to see what it does, or is there something I should be doing with it. thx

I had that happen once. It ended up not blooming on that bud and generally not blooming until I upped the water I was giving it. This may not be your problem though. Do you have pics you can share?

I will see if I can post them - it looks like the flower stem is sort of "flatish" for the top 4 inches or so, I don't remember it being like that before - but could be something I've never noticed until now too. I put the flash on one pic to show that the bud is green with speckles, does't "look" rotted or dried [yet] - let me see - I"m not sure how to send pix on here, I'll look around

I agree with Daethen. I have the alba form and it went dormant it seems for a few months. Then voila..the bud matured and finally bloomed.

I have a different take on this, and it might apply. I waited a full year between one of my stalled buds. It didn't blast, it just sat there. So I finally just pinched it off, and a new bud formed immediately and is now blooming again. So if upping the water doesn't work and it's been awhile since its last bloom, maybe consider pinching the bud. I'll post a pic of mine in a bit.
