Red face Cattleya Netrasiri Beauty x Blc Varut Roongkamol

Hi everybody!

First of all, my main language is French, so please be soft on me! I don't know the specific words in English sometimes... so I might have difficulties understanding you.

Okay, let's start by the beginning. I want to a wedding last weekend, and "won" an wonderful orchid!! (Which the husband's parents grows)

It is a Cattleya Netrasiri Beauty x Blc Varut Roongkamol. There's a picture in my profil (hasn't succeed yet in putting it as avatar!)

They've already told me to replant it when the flower is wilt. And to give water only when the soil is dry completly, and until it's humid again. (checking the soil once a week)

I'd like to know everything about this plant. Where to place it (what kind of light), other care to give her so she make flowers again. How often is it suposed to flowers ? I really want to keep her alive, and healty! and Flowering!!!

Help! I need somebody, Help! ahaha

Bonjour Milui, welcome to the ORchid Forum.
Basically for any Cattleya hybrid or species you want to slowly, SLOWLY, introduce it to bright sun shine. Not all day sun, just a few hours or as much as you think your plant can handle. These guys like sunlight for flowering.
In my experience waiting until the pot is dry leads to dry plants. I would water them more often than that. Perhaps water them completely and then a few days later when the media is drying water them again. Wait for more advice on that however, from more experienced growers.

That depends. How long has it been there? Is it doing well there? If you think its too much sun, then yes move it. If you think it is doing well, then leave it there. They do like their light. The only worry is to make sure you don't burn the orchid.

Oh! Well, I bring her home yesterday hihi^^ And actually, I was about to ask about her leaves... They don't look perfect to me... there's some black marks like these on the tip of some leaves. I just took some new pictures of her!

Yes, that is sunburn. It can happen in one day very quickly. Right now you plant is not in any danger, but I would reduce the amount of sun a little bit for a while.
