I personally have the following:
Dracula vampira
Dracula bella
Dracula inequalis
Dracula solderoi
Dracula mopsis
Dracula severa
All of which have been doing fine here in New Jersey. The growing season is just beginning and all of these guys have new growth. I keep the humidity around 60% year round. However I've found my biggest issue is keeping them moist. They tend to dry out a bit in between waterings- but they are still chugging along.
One plant that has taken off like a weed would have to be my Dracula inequalis. Many new growths and many spikes ... it doesn't seem to mind short dry spells or any other minor "slip-ups" on care from my end. I'd most definitely recommend it. I personally have no experience with Dracula lotax.

So what kind of light does the lotax want? I had it next to my Masdie Nancy, but several tips of the leaves have started to turn black. I'm assuming that means too much light and/or damage from shipment.

Ya, my lotax likes pretty low light. Burnt tips can also be a sign of too much fertilizer too. These guys apparently don't like very much fert at all.

I've been using distilled water, with no fertilizer. So, you think 500 or so footcandles?

Shoot, I don't have an FC meter in my place. My lotax is doing pretty well approximately 11" away from a 4 bulb, T5 HO system with some shading from a plant above it. I would try bright and get shadier if the leaves get too yellow. Photosynthetically viable light levels drop off pretty quickly as you move away from a light source, so even just moving the plant closer or farther away from the lights will change the light levels a lot.

Here's my lotax!!! At first, it was in too much light and the leaf tips started to brown. I moved it far away from the window and Tada!!!! It's happy as can be!
