Default Somebody is growing (paph bud)!

Wee, I can now see the ovary! Look at how much my baby has grown during the time I haven't posted any pics of it.

So how much time do you think there's left before the flower opens up? Two weeks? Three? A month?

I'm so looking forward to my first Paph bloom ever! And it'll be the first time I see one in real life too.

Depending on which paph it is, it should be real soon. My guess would be within 2 weeks.

It's looking great. Good growing. In my experience, timing is highly variable based on the type of paph. It's probably a matter of weeks but will surely feel like months. Orchids flagrantly thumb their nose at you when ever you try to rush them. Orchid therapy is never on your timetable - and I suppose that's part of the zen-ness of the whole thing. Good luck and happy waiting.

Aww, thanks guys! I'll tell it you complemented it. I can't take any credit other than that I've managed not to kill it.

I though it might be some weeks left, but it's really tempting me by almost visibly growing! It gets stared at on a daily basis (like all my orchids) and I've started to see the petals sticking out, they are a lovely pink colour.

I just love when they get to this stage - graceful looking
I agree with Bill, couple more weeks to go yet but that doesn't mean you won't see some movement before that. Still entertaining even before the bloom appears. Enjoy the show
