Hi Rosslyn,

I took a look at your pix - definitely something going on with your phal as the leaves are showing significant dessiccation. It is either not getting the water it needs or if it is getting sufficient water, the water is not reaching the leaves from the root system. I would take it out of the pot, cut all dead roots with sterilized scissors, soak the remaining roots in super thrive for 10-15 mins and repot in a clear plastic pot (the clay looses humidity very quickly). I like using clear pots so that I can see any and all root development. After repotting - do not water immediately - the plant will need some time to adjust and start developing new roots.

It's finished! The roots that were left started to fade, so I just threw it out. I'm bummed out because this orchid's blooms were gorgeous!

Awww I'm sorry but it's happened to all of us. You'll find one that you like just as much if not more, I'm sure of it. At least you tried.
