Default Tree fern slabs question

Where could I find the tree fern slabs in Canada?
I know that Jim' Supplies can ship to Canada, but they use US Priority and shipping for $15 worth of slabs came out to $27 which makes the slabs price almost three times more.
Any suggestions on canadian source, please? Or cheaper shipping?
Thanks.

Based on my experience it is difficult to find supplies in Canada and avoid ridiculous shipping charges.

You're in luck, while taking care of the plant project I can across some, at Hawaiian Botanicals! Terrarium Plants at Hawaiian Botanicals Go in the 'supplies' tab in the terrarium plants section.

Since you're in the project, maybe wait to order in case the Sophronitis wins, which is available at that vendor.

Camille is right. I have bought my cholla wood from them and have some of their tree fern slabs, and I'm very happy with the quality. The quality of tree fern can vary widely, and I have been burnt before, but not by them. It's worth the shipping costs!

Thanks! I have checked them out. Looks that they have only one size available 14" long x 9.5" wide x 1.5" thick . A tad big for my purpose, and the price is $22.00 each. It seems that it would be cheaper to get from Jims and pay US shipping for me .

An alternative you could consider is EpiWeb. Made from recycled plastic bottles. It drains well, is easy to work with, plant roots grow through it like tree fern slabs AND you can buy it in Canada.

Paramount (now located in BC) sell it altohugh not cheap. First Rays (SUA) also sells it (EcoWeb). Lately I have been using Roof Ridge Vent material - it is virtually identical in construction to EpiWeb and have some in testing with plants mounted on it for the past 3 months. So far so good.
