You could also lower the temperature around the root zone with a clay/terra-cotta pot.
Another advantage of using clay pots is that they come in much smaller sizes than 2". I've been able to find 1" to 1 1/2" clay pots rather easily.

Yup, cool that little plant down, and make sure there's air movement around the leaves. It's clearly happy enough to be spiking, so it's likely a little dip in temp will be enough to have it thrive.
