Got a new phal for a steal Male
Default Got a new phal for a steal

I was in town yesterday, I was on my way to get a drink and saw this Phal outside the store under the sun without shade.

I went in the store and ask if it's for sale and she said if i want it, I could buy it for 10 chf (it cost double or more usually here in switzerland) besides she doesn't have any patience to wait for it to bloom.

Well anyhow i bought it and clean it a bit today on it's leave cause of dust collecting. (can see on the picture) Here's the picture it down look like it's growing too tall with a lot of roots. Not sure if i should repot it.

Any advise???

Shinnok

Wow, what a big beautiful phal! I would give it a repot because you just never know the condition you buy them in. I repot all my orchids when I bring them home as a matter of routine. You get to see whats happening plus you reset the counter on the medium.

It really is a big beauty. I would have snapped it up myself.

Sorry i forgot to reply. I will do it soon when i get new media. Been busy lately and it was weekend when i got it. Might rush to get a media tomorrow after my driving class. (1 of the inconvenience of not driving is depending on the public transport which runs every hour)
Or i might just bump some media from my friend. I help her buying bags of media sometime back. She have yet to use it >.<
She did says that it bloom before for her but not much on how the bloom looks like except that it look like Pearl. I am excited too and can't wait for it to bloom.

Thank you for all your advise.
Shin
