During my daily "staring at the chids" round I noticed that my P. schilleriana's new roots are coming along nicely, as is the new leaf. What I had never expected from a species Phal, particularly not this guy, was to find some happy-sap on one of its leaves! I know this is nothing major, and that I should come back when said schill has coughed up a spike or two, but it made me so very happy to see this that I had to share!
I'm so very pleased with this Phal especially considering that I haven't had it for more than two months, so even if it doesn't have any spikes at the moment, discoveries like this make me very happy. I hope it'll bloom for me next year.
Here are two pics of it showing the entire plant, the new leaf, and four of its new roots (the fifth is located on the downside of the stem).
