Talking My Phal. schilleriana likes me!

During my daily "staring at the chids" round I noticed that my P. schilleriana's new roots are coming along nicely, as is the new leaf. What I had never expected from a species Phal, particularly not this guy, was to find some happy-sap on one of its leaves! I know this is nothing major, and that I should come back when said schill has coughed up a spike or two, but it made me so very happy to see this that I had to share!

I'm so very pleased with this Phal especially considering that I haven't had it for more than two months, so even if it doesn't have any spikes at the moment, discoveries like this make me very happy. I hope it'll bloom for me next year.

Here are two pics of it showing the entire plant, the new leaf, and four of its new roots (the fifth is located on the downside of the stem).

Mutant I love reading your threads, you always give me hope that one day my phals will love me (if I can manage to stop "loving" them too much)! Congrats on the new growth!

Thanks Cody! I figured I must be doing something right with this guy.

Chidlove, I think we do. I do it at least twice a day!

Aww, that's sweet of you.

Trust me, if I can get my Phals to like me, anyone can!

I hope I'll be able to care properly for all the species and primary hybrid phals I've ordered as well. There's going to be a Phal invasion here in a month or so, with a Paph or two as traveling companions of course.

Are u kidding me? 'Course I stare, everyday, sometimes more than once per day. Never know when you'll discover something new.
