Yes, it could be sunburn, now that I think of it - the plant was placed outdoors for a week or so, due to my room being painted. So, should I cut off the leaves ????

I wouldn't, but I have a zygo that has 75% black-marked leaves ! You only have to worry if the surrounding area gets soft and starts to spread. The leaf is still providing nutrients and by removing it ,you impact the plant. If you are worried about how it looks, then by all means remove it carefully by cutting it off with a scissors.
I am probably going to get people jumping in and saying sterilise the scissors and paint the cut with cinnamon but in nature plants withstand a lot tougher treatment.

remember this ...the wider the fatter the leaves, the less sun it will take...the narrower skinny leafs can take more sun up to and including full sun. looking at just about any plant not knowing what it is can you see this in action? so the next time you get an orchid with wide fat thin leaves think of why those leaves are wide and fat..its bec they dont get much light and the leaves are wider to increase the surface area and get what light it needs. I have found that this simple idea will decrease a lot of will this plant take the sun? you should be able to tell at a simple glance in the future
