Dave, Bud, Keith, Jai_Star

Thanks for the replies and suggestions.

I couldn't help myself, went shopping and I bought 3 separate curtains. One for each part of the door. The curtain on the left will be open all the time. The other two will be closed between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. I think that would be the best. What you think?
I would like to try this arrangement for two months or so to see how they'll like it.

Oscarman I hear ya. I'm not big fan of curtains in this room as well, so I left enough space on both sides of the door so I can slide the curtains over so there is no obstruction of the outside view when they are open.

Just put up some shade cloth

I all seriousness door treatments are your best option in that location.
